Hello,

I recently made changes in the Global Policy Objects within Windows Server 2003, giving users access to specific applications only by using the Run only allowed Windows applications settings. My problem is that now even Administrators cannot access anything else other than these programs. Is there any way in which I can reset this? By the way, this is not a domain controller, as some of the information that I found on the Internet pertained to. Thanks.

When you applied these changes, who did it apply to? A specific OU, group, or to the computers?

I don't know to whom exactly the policies pertained to. Is there a way to bypass the Group Policy for this machine? As of now, I can only run tow applications that were specified, even as an administrator. Thanks.

If you want to disable the group policy, select the details tab, then from the GPO Status drop down select All Settings Disabled. Afterwards, perform a GPUPDATE /FORCE.

If you are looking at the Scope Tab, that will show you where this policy is being applied and who it is applied to.
