I have a Transtalk 9030, actually two, and I just installed a carrier for the first and when I added the new phone and powered it on I was given a message to reset the button mapping. How do I go about this, or where can I get/download manuals on this subject? I think the phone must have previously been used with a different system, but that is only a guess.

press the double up arrow on the right side of the phone. hold down for about 5 seconds. while you are still holding down the double up arrow, press the green on button. you will now be in the admin mode on the transtalk. press and hold the 6 until it beeps. after the beep, you can toggle the double up arrow to adjust the button map. P=partner...M1=Merlin 1..usually Melin 410 or 820 or 3070. M2=Merlin 2...usually legend. D=Definity. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the help. I now seem to have an additional issue. I have been able to reset the button mapping to Partner and when I turn the phone on it selects a line but I can not hear a dial tone or even hear my own voice through the phone. Any additional thoughts? My guess is that there is something else that needs to be re-set correctly. Is there a manual of administraor codes and things to be set and or changed someplace that could potentially be downloaded so that I could read a bit more about programming this phone so i don't have to continue to ask silly questions here? Thanks again.

Thanks for those links but I already have those documents. The information that I was looking for is not mentioned anywhere in those, things like what you previously told me about..... changing button mapping. I am currently having a small issue with this new phone in that sometimes when I try to turn it on I just get two beeps and it shuts back off. If I hold the double arrow key and then press on/off and then press the # key (I then get a really strange display and I don't know what area I have entered) then press the on'off key again I am able to use the phone without problem. Perhaps there is something that has to do with refreshing the range on this phone that needs to be done. Can you tell me what admin area I entered in doing the above process and also how to refresh the range of the phone please. Thank you you have been very helpful thus far.
