How can you reset a phone (5610 model) when upon boot up you aren't presented with the 'Press * to change settings' option. The phone doesn't seem to respond to any key input. Keeps looking for the TFTP server (IPO manager on my PC) and just keeps recycling. Is there any way to take this phone back to factory default?

Be sure the tftp response to the phone with a default 46xxsettings.txt
That is your only option i am afraid.

Homo sapiens non urinat in ventum

honey, i fried the IP Office !!!

A yard full of tards

The original 46xxsettings.txt file is there.

My IPO Manager is Version 8.0 (IP Office R6 Manager), so whatever VPN firmware release came with this update.

Try a PoE straight to your laptop/pc then try the *
Also try WireShark to see what happens.

This phone is locked on its settings in a previous use, the only thing you can do is try to find out what the ip address of the tftp server is what it tries to connect to.
Use WireShark to find out.
Then give your PC that ip address and start a tftp server on it ( manager will do ), change the 46xxxsettins.txt here:
SET OPSTAT 111
SET PROCSTAT 0
SET PROCPSWD " "

Wait until the phone has loaded the txt file and it will "hang" on discovery, unpower the phone and power it up again.
Then the phone will show "press * to configure" during boot and you can access/change the settings.

Press the * on bootup
Keep pressing the * untill you see "Enter command"
Press "mute" or if you do no have it "hold" and then 25327 Confirm and it reboots and is completly cleared

@hostedvoipman

This phone does not show the star as the man said in his first post

Thanks for all the input. Procstat was mistakenly set to 1. This was the main culprit. Now the phones are coming back up with * as an option again.
