reseting merlin messaging 1

does anyone know how 2 reset merlin messaging module ? thanks
 
When you say reset - what do you mean? Return to factory defaults and erase all content? or reset the module to restart the voicemail?

basically i need help setting up my voicemail Merlin Messaging. i jus want auto attendant 2 pick up right away. press 1 for customer service, 2 for accounting , 3 for direct extension transfer, 4 for IT, and * something for dial by name directory. i think im missing a few steps. i appreciate it very much.
 
I get yelled at - if I post the factory default procedure here. I assume you can dial into the administrator's mailbox (mailbox 0) successfully.

Well - you need to do BOTH some system programming - to pre-pepare the system to use voicemail and the autoattendant - AND then some voicemail administration programming in the voicemail unit itself. The manual is pretty straightforward - have you tried used it?

u know ..thanks i do remember now how 2 reset it once im in the voicemail. that would be the other way i jus thought it was another with the module s/n #. but i did fix the transfering part it was the voicemail ports rotary enable.

also i change the selector code setting 1 to selector code transfer ext. 101 and selector code 2 to ext.112. im putting 9 other exts. each to cover them. after the calls come in i hit 1 but only rings at the operator ext. 100 is there anything else
 
Did you set the maximium extention length in voicemail admin (under parameters) to 3? The default is 2. Also - did you rotary enable the voicemail ports?

yes i did i checked it under system parameter and all 4 voicemail ports are rotary enable
 
What about the maximum extention lengtyh under system parameters (choice 5) in voicemail admin? Is that set to three?

Then it should be working - in terms of being able to transfer to an extention from the autoattendant - UNLESS you did not set up mailboxes for the extentions you want to be able to transfer to. They either have to have a mailbox or be setup as "transfer only" extentions in voicemail administration.

i think i got it. i was useing a pc and the software was having problem so it never got saved right. we are having a problem with spm 9.0 so we jus went through the phone administration. thanks alot 4 your help
