Hi!

I just logged in to our Voicemail-server to setup the Christmas-message for our company, since we're closing down for the holidays today.

But the Voicemail Pro Client is asking me for a password all of the sudden, and I've tried every single one I can think off with no luck. I'm not sure why it suddenly started requiring a password, since that's never been the case before.

Both VMPro-services are running, so I'm really at a loss here. Can anyone help me?

Our IP Office is running version 6.1(12), if that's of any help.

Best regards,
Thomas

on the local server it shouldnt prompt you at all? Only using the console on a remote machine would do that.

That's what has me confused. I'm logged into the server using RDP (since I have vacation), but voicemail-server is installed on the same server, that I'm trying to log in from.

Perhaps it has to do with the VMPro-services?

Also, you can set a password for the local client/system too, if you have there will also be a password in the system security settings that matches :)

Not happy with Avaya ATM....

Why not, because RDP corrupts the VM database, search this site for evidence. Use VNC or LogMeIn, anything just not RDP, once corrupted you can't change any call flows and often can't even see them, only a full re install can fix it unless you have a backup from before the corruption took place :)

Andy, i agree with you but we do it all the time too.
When it is not used for anything else you are fine doing it.

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

Hm, I did not know that. I'll get on that after the holidays, but for now I would just like to be able to login to my Voicemail Pro Client :)

I've tried setting up the services to use our administrator-account, followed by a restart and then using that user to login to no avail.

I've set them back to using the local system account, but still no luck.

Could you be a bit more specific on how to set a password for the local client?

Hmm.. I updated our VM Pro to 7.0, and now it works brilliantly. I'm confused, but as long as it works, I'm happy.

Thank you all and merry christmas! :)

if it goes offline mode it would prompt you for password but all you need to do is click ok with no password. unless you have one set
