I have a M7310 phone. Buttons 2 through 7 are programmed to pickup certain extensions. When I hit Feature *3 and one of those buttons to reprogram it, the phone just tries to preform the programmed task (in this case, pickup a certain extension). I can use Feature *3 to reprogram any other button.

If I have to, I can reset the phone to factory standards, but I do not know how to do that.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds like you have answer dn's on the set, remove them and you should be able to program buttons.

When in doubt RTFM (read the friggin manual)

I am new to this old phone system. What do you mean by answer dn's and how do I remove them? I have the System Coordinator Guide, but I cannot find anything in it to help.

Thanks for your help, problem solved.
