How do you reset the administrative password on a CS1000?

If you don't have UCM then you can log in with the admin 2 password to change them. If you have UCM the admin password is set during the installation during initial configuration of your Primary Security Server.

Is there a default admin 2 password?

I don't believe we are to disclose password info on the forum.

Rats..if you need to reset the admin2 password you can only do that using the software delivery card you used to install the system...at least that's the only way I know of anyway.

There are people who know how to view/reset passwords for a number of releases. Anything less than 4.0 is possible and 4.5 onwards it's been inproved to prevent viewing them, but a reset method is available. What release is the CS1000 System?.

All the best

If it's working, then leave it alone!.

Yeah I think we misplaced our Admin2 password so that will be cool if Mike's book works for us - thanks KCFLHRC!!!

E-Metro Tel will assist with this for a fee if you don't have a contract or vender associated with AVAYA. They are former Nortel engineers. You may have to go through a UCx partner though.

If its not working, get a bigger hammer!
