Reset login Password Mitel MCD4.2

Please advise me to reset the password for root Version 4.2

Software version 4.x can only be reset by Mitel Support.

I think on 4.2 you can use the following process....

From the maintenance port type

cd "/db/database/files"
rm "usrprfle.db"

A reboot is required to complete.

This should reset the login to system/password

am equally interested in this . can the person share how the issue of the PW reset was eventually resolved and does it apply to all pre R4.2

The command is entered as RESET_ALL_LOGIN_PASSWORDS "username" from the Maintenance Terminal connected to the RS-232 port and as ResetAllLoginPasswords (no underscores) from the RTC shell (Telnet port 2002

If you don't enter the username then it should do all of them...


You have tried with all uppercase because its case sensitive...
