how can I reset the local admin password (2k pro)if it has been forgotin?

Forgetting an admin password, that's nice???
Log is as an Administrator equivalent en reset it from there.
If in a network, the domain admin may be able to do it remotely.

the machine is not on the network. there were not any other user accounts created. the person responsible for this machine forgot the password as it has not been used for a couple of months.

The above mentioned utility really does work. I have tested it on a couple machines. You'll have better luck if you reset it so there is no password, than trying to type a new password.

Is that the unix based "hack disk"? I've used it a lot, just didn't know where you could go to actually download it.
