Hi

We have a 4625SW IP phone which we setup on our test IP Office with static configuration on the handset.

Now we want to use it in production the handset does not give us the option to change the static values (no * on boot).

So we have decided to reset it, no luck there it just does not respond like the other phones do when we reset it.

I'm wondering if at some point a setting was used to deny access to these functions from the handset and it is retaining these on reboot?

Any assistance would be much appreciated as I am stumped!!

Thanks
B

How have you reset it? Have you tried Hold/Mute 25327 ?

Make sure that the headset button is deactivated.

What did it do when dialling HOLD 25237 #? Did it say "Clear all values"???

When you typed "I'm wondering if at some point a setting was used to deny access to these functions from the handset and it is retaining these on reboot?"

What are you failing to tell us? At some point was your 46xxsettings.txt modified from default?

Type mute/hold 2337 (addr) and #
Then keep pressing # so you do not change anything and when you see enter command you press 35327 (clear) and #
Or you set all ip adresses to 0.0.0.0

Hi

Thank you for your posts:

"What are you failing to tell us? At some point was your 46xxsettings.txt modified from default?"

Yes it has been modified, this is our test system, unfortunately various team members have modified the file to test configs. Unfortunately I could not tell you which settings as I do not know.

tlpeter: thank you, I have done as you have stated but the enter command does not appear.

Thanks

But can you change the ip addresses ?

Put the default 46xx settings file in your server and then power off reboot the handset. Then see how you get on :)

Hi

Thanks again for your posts:

tlpeter: unfortunately not, the static IP were entered originally and this is what we are looking to change.

amriddle01 & CarGoSki: thanks, we did do this before, but its always good to try again: we have done so but no luck.

Thanks
