Could anyone 'in the know' kindly offer me some advice/guidance here...?
We have a community interest charity (CiC) setup under our group, that raises money for a number of very worthy local good causes.
I have been approached by the CiC's Director to see how easy it would be to allow customers paying at any one of our Resorts nineteen RVC's to either round up their transaction to the nearest .10p, £1.00, or by any requested amount...
I was thinking about just adding an open menu item to the various Pay Screen's, named 'Charity Donate', assigning it to a Tax Exempt Menu Item Class, however... this would require a little basic maths to be applied by the servers, but my concern here is that during extremely busy periods, there is the possibility for them to make a mistake when typing in the open amount, thus causing delays whilst a manager is called to perform the required void...
So, is there a way that I could assign some kind of round up procedure to a button, or would this require bespoke programming?
