Hello all.

I have a question. Is there a command or a sequence of commands in MML (winfiol) that puts my MD110 (BC10) in an "zero" state. I mean in wich it has no matrix, no numbers, no categories, no adn's no names etcetera. This would be handy in my case where i have to switch between configurations in my PBX.

The way I do it right now is I have a "programming file A" and a "cleaning file A" and a "programming file B" and a "cleaning file B" (where A and B are specific configurations)

Kind regards and thanx in advance, Raymond Mentjens

Hi,

If you have 2 HDU's

You could do a dump when in 'zero state' on disk 1 and if required another dump with the programming on disk 2. Switch disk and do a reload.

If you only have one disk, dump when in 'zero state' and use a transmit file to do the programming

Mjeah. I only have one HDU.

The trick with dumping after a "zero state" is one I will try to work with.
The negative side effect of this method will be that i have to walk to my PBX, open the case, push the button on the LPU5, close the case, walk back, login with winfiol, ALREI;
and then load the wanted configuration file.

kind regards, Raymond Mentjens.

if this is for testing only, you dump in zero state, run regen A, do not dump system, when want to revert back do LADAI; then run B regen. just do not dump after each regen.

then you do not have to leave your seat if it is far to walk ;-)

thanx parnum

Now that is interesting. I will study on that one.

by dumping you mean DUSYI or DUSII I cant see the diffirence at this moment

btw why did you mention "for testing only"?

hi

do not DUSYI after regen as this will dump data. I say for testing as if this is live and switch reloads you lose all data, so the phones do not work until you regen again, that is all. i would not leave a switch not dumped on a live site for a customer.

Hey!!!

I zeroized my numplan, my matrix etcetera etcetera.
I dumped with DUSYI;
I loaded config A (works!)
I did LADAI;
I loaded config B (works!)

no more running zeroize programs (wich may fail after experimenting too much ;-) )

Parnum has made me happy.

Thanx mate.

Oh Parnum

I understand. but I am a lucky guy who has a LIM for instruction purposes. I can fool around on it as much as i like. (If I switch off power I am the only one who notices.)

but thanx your answer helped me a lot. This is EXACTLY what i wanted.

Yeah, you can say you're a lucky guy, with your own Toy-Lim [bigsmile]("Bofkont")

Did you just call me a "bofbips?"
just for having my own LIM

yeah i guess I am lucky. no iritating customers to care about. the only prob is that it is a fairly old lim. and as I said it is for instruction purposes at my emloyer's. So i guess i will never have VOIP or other new stuff.

and come to think of it, there's another problem. My boss wants me to do other stuff (like work) in stead of fooling around with it all day. And that is jammer.

So he knows enough about "the old lady" to see the difference between fooling around and working?

Yeah, jammer.
