RES 5.5 Keyboard not functioning when swipe 1

Hi

We have migrated our RES 4.9 MR7 database to RES 5.5 . There are some tender media where reference required requires a card swipe.
This functionality works fine in 4.9 , but when upgraded to 5.5 , the card swipe stops working , and need to enter the details manually in keypad.

Can anyone help on this issue or suggest an altrenative.

Did you change your Hardware? if its a Tablet may the MSR is via OPOS.

Hi Andreasz - No the hardware is the same , one more thing noticed is that the keypad accepts when a Micros card is swiped but none of the other cards are accepted. Any insights.

Hi DeepuM,

There is no option for this as you are in RES5.5, The lastest version is following the PCI compliant for Credit and other cards. so it is not allowed to swipe the Credit card and others card which encoded like CC number to Micros Magnetic card Reader anymore.

We used a tender on 4.7 that previously required a reference entry.

Since updating to 5.5 it's no longer prompting for the reference even though reference required is checked in the tender settings.

Any idea what may be happening? Thanks in advance!
