Res 3700 MR5.4: Replace a printer

I will need to replace a roll printer (RS232 interface). The replacement is the same model. The workstation is running Windows CE (type 5A). Workstaion's IP doesn't change.

First time adding a printer, any manual? What is the procedure? Thanks!

Look under the printer you will see a small metal cover remove it and inside you will see some dip switches. Set the switches the same way as the old printer and attach it to the workstation.

The damaged printer has been disposed, cannot find it so cannot compare. Connected the replaced printer to the workstation, the printer didn't work. Print job was redirected to the backup printer. Re-calibrated the workstation, didn't work either.

When connecting the printer to another workstation (WKS5A08, the same model), the printer worked.

Perhaps the RS232 interface issue on the workstation?

Di you take the rs232 cable and printer from a working station to the one you are having problems with? I'm trying to make sure is not the cable.

Epson TM88 internal switch settings for serial:
bank 1 - 7 on, rest off
bank 2 - all off
