Rerunning a report for multiple dates

Using Crystal Reports 8.5:

I have a fairly basic report that generates number for a date entered via a parameter. Since the report has all the numbers I would need, I would like to try to automate running the same report for, say, the last business day of the month. Or, if too difficult, the last day of the month for a year or series of years.

Can anyone suggest a way to automate this?

Can you publish out to Enterprise and then schedule on the nth day of the month?

If you don't have CE then task it on the desktop??

There are two calulated numbers that are continually required: pending - the total number of assignments open on a particular day and backlog - the number of pending cases pending more than 30 days.

I have plenty of reports that determine these numbers for any particular date. But often I am asked to show how these number trend over time.

I would like to group on, say, the last day of the month, and then have my report calculate the pending/backlog numbers for every month (last day - or, it could just as well be the 15th day) for, say, the last four years.

I have not yet figured how to create the groups, and then once I have a group value, how to take that date and use it in my calculation.

OK, how about this plan of attack:

I create an array of datevars of every 15th day of every month from 1/15/2002 to the present (how would I do that??).

Then I group on these days (or loop through them) and use that date (month/15/year) to calculate the pending and backlogged assignments that existed on that particular date.

Comments/help please??
