Hi everybody.

I have a system 3300 Mxe with software release 8.

i incoming call is directed to a hunt group (680) and has one member, if this phone dont answer it is rerouted to anothe huntgroup (685) this hunt group has a multicall as members (3 members in that multicall) if no one here answers it rerouts to a last huntgroup (690) and this group has a multicall as members.

the call rerouting looks like this.

EXT call rerouting 1:a
680 4 (points to 685)
685 5 (points to 690)

hopefull someone understands my picture above

the above do not work. it works between tha first group and the second, but from second to third do not work.

My question is:
Can i do the config as above so the system supports it?

If yes, any ideé what could be wrong?

If no, any suggestion have to config so the call will reroute from the first group to the thierd?

Regards UO

The routing should all be done at the original hunt group in your scenerio. Use the call re-routing Furst alternative to get it to 685, the use the second alternative to get it to go to 690.

The Call Forward no answer timer is the timer in the COS which depicts when it goes to the First Alt, and the Answer Plus System Reroute Timer in the same COS is the one which depicts the time to the second alternative.

So the call would come into 680, ring their until Call Forward no answer timer kicks in, then will ring 685 until the Answer Plus Reroute Timer kicks in, then move to 690

Hope that helps

Ok. I see. a question about the timers then. I have in the main huntgroup (680) a COS (if I dont have a COS in the hunt groups it uses the COS of the first members, that is my information, correct?)

The timers to change in my case is the COS that I use for the huntgroup, correct?

the timers for the (time to start rad messages is handled by the COS for rad messeges, correct?

the Rad messages the above situation will use are the rad massages configured in the fist hunt group, first rad, second rad, or will it use the rad messages tha belong to the hunt group that is ringning? hope you understand this sentence :)

it is a lot of timers and different usages of them :)

anyway big thank you.

Hi

You are correct on your first 2 points

mmm didn;t realise you were using RAD's in the Hunt Groups

Not sure how that will work, it may be that if the Answer PLuse Delay to message timer is shorter than the routing timers it may start playing before the routing but not sure if you'd want to

What i may suggest is you just put a RAD in the last hunt group?

I will try that out with the Rad messages. Thanks a lot.

MitelMatt, It was/is my understanding that the 2nd alternative reroute timer is governed by the:

System Option
- Call Rerouting Timer
from the help files said:
Enter a value in the range of "5" to "60" seconds, in increments of 1 second. This timer defines the length of time which a call will ring a station before being rerouted to the second alternative number for the station.

Other than that, Kudos to your responses so far.

Thanks mate. Yeah the systions options call re routing timer is the global option, but the COS option Answer Plus System Reroute timer can be used to overide that on a COS basis. Gives more flexibility

Hi, thank you for all you answers.

Mitelmatt - good info on the cos controlling the 2nd alt reroute timer. I did not know that. Thought it was only controlled in sys options.

MitelMatt - Confirmed. Thanks for the education.

ANSWER PLUS - System Reroute Timer
Enter a value in the range of "0" to "720" seconds. This timer operates similarly to the Call Forward No Answer timer, but controls second level rerouting. When the timer expires the call is rerouted from the first alternate to the second alternate.
Note: If a value of "0" is entered, the Call Rerouting Timer value (set in the System Options form) is used.

For extra credit, can you tell me if this is a new option or was it always there and I've just missed it all these years?

Must have missed it when it was added then. Thanks for filling in the blank. You get a star.
