Reroute all calls to PA except PA's 2

Hi

Using Mitel 3300 MCD 9.03, does anyone know whether there is a way to force all calls to route via a manager's secretary, so that effectively, the secretary/PA is the only person who is able to call the manager?

I manage phones in a clinical environment where consultants see patients in their offices, so they hate it when the phone rings! I know we can give them a DND key and set reoroute 1st alternative to the PA but then the PA can't call them either! Any suggestions gratefully received.

I think you can simply do a call fwd always to the secretary's phone.
The only phone that can call a forwarded phone is the phone that it's forwarded to.

other option might be using interconnect restriction.

I'd tell you a UDP joke but I'm afraid you won't get it. TCP jokes are the best because you always get them.

Or another way is to enable Executive Override in the COS of PA thus allowing them to override the DND.

Caution - Override may also allow intrusion on an active call but this might also be desired in your case.

Thank you all for your helpful replies. In the final event I think we will go with a simple call forward. I like the idea of the executive override feature and it's very useful to know it's there but I think it may blow our users minds a bit! They're mainly stuck in the mid 20th century and anything too modern upsets them
