I have an older version of Aloha, 6.1 I believe.

Trying to set it up so that servers can't close checks without one beverage per entree, even if they have to hit the WATER or NO BEVERAGE buttons.

Under Maintenance >> System >> Order Entry >> Guest Counts there is a Use Entrees For Guest Counts checkbox and we've put a category containing all entrees there.

Now we want to servers to be forced to select a beverage for each entree they've ordered, before they are permitted to close the check. Does anyone know where to do this?

Thanks.

Thanks Dauphin, but that doc is coming through really weird, tried to open with different browsers ... can you re-link please?

Thanks!

Thanks Dauphin, the download worked that time.

I had it setup right, but was using a non-sales category to test Guest Count by Entree. As it turns out, the Manager has asked that
we do it by Guest Count entered by the server rather than by Entree (figures!). The problem I am having now is it's asking for the guest count at
the end of the order instead when the table or tab is first started. Any suggestions on how to get to ask for a Guest Count as soon as a table
or tab is opened?

Ironically, UNCHECKING the Allow Guest Count On Check (or something worded similarly) changed the behavior to require the Guest Count when opening a tab like we wanted.

Rather counter intuitive, but I unchecked it on a hunch. Reminds me why Aloha is so frustrating at times! :)

Thanks for the help, Dauphin.
