Hello everyone,

I am a technician working with Avaya solutions, and I am looking to configure a virtual Avaya system for testing and simulation purposes. Since I don’t have access to physical servers, I plan to use a virtual environment (e.g., VirtualBox or VMware) to learn and experiment with configurations.

I would appreciate your help with the following:

  1. Are there any free OVA or AVP files available for Avaya systems that I can use for virtual simulations?
  2. What are the best practices or guides for setting up a virtual Avaya system? I’m particularly interested in configuring features like SIP trunks, links, and basic maintenance tasks.
  3. Has anyone had a similar experience with setting up virtual configurations and could share advice or resources?
Any support or recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time and assistance!

Best regards,

What solution do you mean? If IP Office you can install a demo system licensed for one year. Hard to learn all by yourself.

In case you were wondering Avaya does provide classes on everything you are wanting to learn. But they do ask that you pay for the training. I know the company I used to work for had to pay for the training. Maybe you should consider that option.

This training is for personal development and not related to my current professional role.

I am particularly looking for programs that offer certifications and online simulations for hands-on experience.

Thank you in advance for your guidance. I look forward to your response.

Best regards,

Some of the courses on Avaya Learning are now free. Also have a look at Udemy and sign up as deals come up from time to time.

Lots of videos on Youtube but not a structured way to learn.

All the documentation is on support.avaya.com and it is best to download the complete set option and then learn how to find your way around.
