Req Next Media despite 33Gb free on tape

Hi,

I am running a backup Job on AS 6.61 on NT4 backing up another NT4 server.
After several hours of running I get the following

Next media 03/01/02 ID25D4 Sequence #2
E8522 Failed to Recieve data from Client agent (EC=10054)
Next media 03/01/02 ID25D4 Sequence #2
Next media 03/01/02 ID25D4 Sequence #2
Media remaining capacity : 33,840MB
Media Compression Ration : 1.88
Backup Operation Cancelled.

The system is configured to cancel the job if it does not find a second media within 60min. If there is 33,840 free why does it need one?
The Client agent error is curious. All other instances of this error, are occasional failures however this job fails consistently.

I have never come across this combination of capacity and connectivity errors before?

Having dicovered another backup job reporting all the above except for the client Agent error, The agent error may be a separate issue.

Don't worry this was due to a corrupted job. I Have recreated it and all is well
