I have a database consisting of all the address details of employees. Now i need to generate a report where the employee address comes in one box (Size will be defined). there should be two columns in A4 page.
can anyone tell me how to proceed?

I would use a mailing label report. Try the Avery 5260(I think) template.

Thank you so much i am able to generate the required output but my problem is is it possible to change the number of labels per page. Ie, i require,

Across Page:2
Down page:4

Is it possible to get it or is there any other option?

Thank you

When you start the new report, choose Mailing Label Report instead of blank report. After adding your tables, the first option is which mailing label template (row/columns). You have the option there of customizing the width and height of the label, so try something like 4 width and 2.25 height. If you are not getting 2 x 4 labels, go into the section expert, highlight the higher order details section (above detail_a)->layout tab and adjust the height and width there.

We have a label size fixed. with that label size i need to print 12 labels in a A4 sheet. ie, 2*6

You can either choose a template that returns that number of labels or customize it as I described earlier. What problem are you running into when you try that?

I am using Avery 5260 template , but i am getting only 2 *5 only. I need 2 acrooss and 6 down. THe label size is fixed by us, using that label size we should get 6 down.

Is it possible?

Avery 5260 is for 3 x 10 labels. I was wrong about that, and as I said before, you need to manually adjust the width and height in the screen where you select the template or in the section expert->layout tab and keep adjusting it until it gives you the 2 x 6 that you want.
