Hi Cognos Wizards,
I'm building a report in RS using a cube as a source.
I created a date prompt, User can select from a drop down list: Jan-06, Feb-06 and so on....
How can I set up if the user will select Jan-07, it will show in the report last 13 months?

Thank-you!
Steven

if you want to show the report for last 13 months. I think you should setup the running-total time not prompt time.

Running-total time? Why?

The user needs to have an option to see the report for any months he desires, when the user chooses the period the report needs to display also 12 more months prior to the period selected!

Please let me know if you can Help!

Hi,

You could use the same logic used with normal reports.

If the user selects month - Jan -07 and no. of months 13 then You can set a filter like -
between (?monthprompt?) and _add_months(?monthprompt?, -(?no.ofmonthsprompt?))

I hope this works and I understood you question correctly.

Thank-you for your input!
I used set(lag(.... for cube.

I’m trying to do almost the same for a relational model report.
But I’m experiencing problems.

EX: If the user selects March, 2007, the report should show March, 2007 and the Prior Month = February,2007 and YTD.
If the user selects May, 2007, than it will be
May,2007 April,2007 and YTD!

Any ideas what should I do?
Thank-you!
