I would be very grateful if some one could answer these two questions:<br>Firstly: I am trying to create a report with more than one file. How do I do this? <br>I have tried opening more than one file at the command prompt by using 2 different<br>work areas. Everything goes alright until I run the form when I find that for one of the<br>files the same record keeps being displayed.<br>Secondly: I have already created a query. How do I base a report on it?

Have you related the two files ? Both the files must be open at the time of the report generation. Simultaneously you can try the &quot;report form ..for&quot; command.<br>&nbsp;If not satisfied please let me know some more details.

Ams is correct, FoxStudent..but you may find it easier and simpler to just do an SQL SELECT ... JOIN on the two tables to give you a single cursor from which to report.<br><br>Let us know the details if you need more help.

I have worked with 2.6 for a long time now and this is the process I use for 99% of the reports I do.<br><br>Use query designer to retrieve the data that I need and direct the output to a cursor.<br><br>In the view window select the cursor as the current workarea.&nbsp;&nbsp;I find it easier to close all other workareas.<br><br>Open the report designer and create and format the report the way I want it.&nbsp;&nbsp;I save the environment when I save the report.
