I have published a series of reports on the web and I have testers that are testing the reports. A lot of the bugs that are coming back to me deal with fields not being aligned properly or other formatting issues. When I take a screen-shot of how the report looks in their browser vs. how the report looks in my browser, it can be dramatically different. I've talked to CR support about the problem and they say that it's because each computer has different print drivers installed.
I understand this, but it's frustrating when the reports don't even look like they are aligned and such. We've even changed the font for all reports to a "mono-type" font (???) like Courier to try and make the reports look more consistent. This hasn't seemed to have helped.

Has anyone else experienced problems with this??? Any suggestions???

Thanks!

We are also facing the same problem with crystal report on web.
Only solution is that don't display your report in Rpt format in report viewer, export it into PDF format then diaplay on browser.

kkashwani,
After I posted this message, I did get some good advice. We went wrong because we did not have the same viewers chosens for all users. Make sure that you are using the same viewers for the administrator, users, and guests (there's a article on the knowledgebase about how to set up the default user for guests). I was told that the ActiveX viewer is the most consistent and we have experienced that as well. Some other things to try, that we did, are to make sure the font the report uses is on the client machine you are using and to try using the same internet browser and version.

Let me know if this helps at all.

I've got the same problem and went looking for the knowledge base article but can't find it. Do you have a number or can you tell me what terms you used to do the search?

Thanks

Sure! Here's the article number: #c2009267.

Let me know you still have trouble!
Thanks!
Kelly
