I recommend connecting to the Mainframe's DDF using IBM's DB2 Gateway software. This will allow ODBC,OLE connectivity to DB2.

Michael, have you seen a pricing schematic on this? Sounds like it could provide a faster connection compared to using a plain old ODBC data source. Do you have any thoughts on the issue?
