Reports and Forms not opening

Hi All,

I have a database with lots of forms and reports. But I have one user who cannot open one report and one form. This is not machine specific, it is user specific. The database has not been created with any user level security. If I open the database any machine with any other user the form and report open fine.

I cannot even get to the design of the form. If I double click on the form/Report or run it through code to open it nothing happens at all. No message, nothing.

Any ideas appreciated.

Then it sounds like the USER has a permissions limitation to the folder(s) that contain your database.

Does the form and/or report contain any unique controls such as a listview or chart or other? Is there any code in the form/report?

Hi bubba, no permissions on folder. Some of the other forms and reports open fine

Hmm, what about data sources. Any linked data sources showing only in the affected form and report?

No Linked data sources in either the form or report.

This might be corruption of the form and/or report. I would try create a new form to see if the user continues to have an issue.

I don't think its corruption. Some forms are ok, and the same form/report opens fine on other users profiles. Also earlier copies are displaying the same issues.

I would check for references. This must be done from in any code module.

thanks again, I have just tried this and got a c++ runtime error. abnormal termination. I think I will try and re-install on users machine and see what happens. Odd though that I can log on to the users pc as another user and works fine!
