I'm using Adobe version 9.0., Vista and VFP 9.0 when making PDFs. If I don't include the reportoutput.app in the same directory as my application, I get an error that reportoutput.app is missing. I never had to include this file with previous versions of Adobe. Is anyone else getting this error? Does it mean I'm doing something wrong? I tried wrapping reportoutput.app in the executable, but that doesn't work either. I'm not comfortable distributing the reportoutput.app with the distributable version of our application.

Sorry, this will probably not help your current situation with Adobe, but you may consider using XFRX from Eqeus.com. It is full featured, and has a royalty-free, commercial license for around $150US.

It was written specifically for FoxPro. It does not require an install program, rather a few files that you can distribute with your application. It was an excellent solution for our business, since our very expensive PDF creator did not work in Vista.

Why aren't you not comfortable with distributing reportoutput.app, it's part of the runtime, it's redistributable.

It's not a problem since the version of Adobe you use, it's a must have since VFP9, which has the extended report engine with these apps of the VFP runtime. See here:

If you haven't any VFP9 specific report features in your frx, you could also simply SET REPORTBEHAVIOR 80 and will not need to deploy the ReportOutpu.App and the other two Report*.APPs

Bye, Olaf.
