Hello,

Doing my first report using data from different tables, I got the error: unable to execute this request with the error DPR- ERR-2082. It just happens when I select different query items from different query subjects.

Anyone has an idea what's happening?

I’m using ReportNet 1.1 MR2 and oracle 9i database to create the reports.

Thanks in advance,
Primula

There could be a problem with your join. Go into Framework manager and test your joins from there.

Hi mrzepnic,

How can I test my joins into Framework??? Could you tell me step by step please.

Thanks,
primula

Go into Framework.
Open your project
Click on object explorer
Double click on your join
Click on relationship SQL tab
Click test button.

You will get the same errors here that you get from your report.

Hi mrzepnic

When you say click on your join means that the tables that I'm going to use have a relationship? Because if is this they have none and maybe that's the problem. Both have the same primary key but when I try to do the relationship between them I get an error.

Thanks,
Primula

Go to project tab and click on verify model.

If you get an orphin message you need a join. I don't know of any reason why a join(relationship) will not work unless the fields are not compatible ie. char and int.

Hi mrzepnic

I got a lot of orphan messages. I'm going to check if the fields are compatibles. I think I have to go back to the Framework manual. Thanks a lot.
