SYSMPOSIUM PRODUCES DAILY REPORTS AUTOMATICALLY AND STORES THEM IN A FOLDER

THIS HAS STOPPED RUNNING AUTOMATICALLY.

THE ALARM MONITOR BRINGS BACK A DESCRIPTION OF THE ERROR AS
RETURNED CLIENT/SERVER COMMUNICATION FAILURE WITH SERVICE INPUT ID = 43520

ANY IDEAS ANYBODY

Reboot the symposium server.
Sometimes sub-processes goes down for some reason.

Easiest is to just reboot the server and see if it gets better, it often does if no other changes are done to the system.

Reboot the system according to the manuals.
It's important to shutdown and restart everything in the right order.

also check if the hosts file on the server (C:\winnt\system32\drivers\etc) has the designated IP address of the client, otherwise it might not find this client (to send the info to)

I would make sure whomever sheduled the reports, keeps the SCC Client open, and not turn their PC off. This is what we did to alleviate the problem. Supprotvlza, I think, is right. You don't have a Scheduler open, somewhere

Hi,

We have encountered this problem before.
Check your schedules for your report as your not supposed to run them during the hours of 00:00 to 03:00.
The server apparently runs some maintenance/audit tasks during this time and causes the scheduler to hang.
Hope this helps.
