Hi there, i have a database that i need to generate a report of only items with a tick in. This would all be done from a form. EG form name : calls, tick box name : completed, this would then generate a report of all the items not ticked. Someone please help. i am an access beginner

This is a fairly open question. Do you know how to create a report or query? In its most basic form, create a query based on your table and set a criteria value under your Yes/No field of:
-1
Then use your query to create a report.

Sorry, probably didn't explain it well enough.

I have a database completed. Yeah i can create reports and query's.

Basicly i have a fully working database that logs calls, i would like to be able to print a list of all the calls that have not been completed/sorted. I have created a report which will report ALL calls, but i need to filter it to report ONLY the calls not completed. does that make more sense? sorry.

Regards

Kris

ahh, well, that's easy then...

in your report, on the Filter property, put:
Done = False

and

Yes in your filter on property

Done is the field name of the tickbox that says if a call is done or not...

Thank you for that, can you give me an example? i am a beginner.

I would open the report's record source in design view. Find the column/field for your yes/no field and enter a criteria of
-1

example? I've said exactly how to do it...

open up your report in design view...
then right click on your report, and select the properties option...
Make sure that you've got the properties of the report selected, top combo box should say report, if not, select report...
then goto the data tab in the properties...
and put Done = False in the filter field, where Done is the name of the field that contains your tick box...
and then put YES in the filter on property, which is right below the filter field you just filled in
