Im using crystal 8.5 and i created a report with which i entered in 3 basic subreports. I then went on to upgrade and fix up the subreports not individually but individually in the main report. However when i try to access my main report through my database, it says that it cant find SQL server for my main report. So i went back and tried to access each subreport seperatly and i was able to access each. I then deleted my subreports from the main report and then tried to access the main report and i was able to do so. So the problem has to do with when the subreports are in the main report. I have no idea why it can find my main report when it has subreports in it. Any ideas as to why would be much appreciated.

How can you access a report from a database? (ie. "access my main report through my database")

I think what you want do is run Database->Verify Database and point the report(s) to the proper data sources.

You should be able to do this while the subreports are in the main report.

The problem is that when i try to open my report through the report browser of our lims system it gives me a error message reading:

--> 534 error detected by Database DLL
Execute <PEStartPrintJob>

I have no idea what this means, but i'm pretty sure that it has something to do with there being subreports in the report. Because it works just fine seperatly, but when together they error out.
