Report with columns

I am using FPW2.6 and modifying an existing application. I am changing an existing report from one column to 2. Using the report designer and the page layout I changed it from 1 to 2 and it works fine. But, once compiled it only displays it in a single column. I have other applications created in house that have multiple columns - so I know I have used this same sequence and gotten multiple columns to work in compiled applications.

Any clue why this is breaking once compiled?
I even created a new report from scratch thinking that something in the original file wasn't being changed.

Some additional information.

I created a new report. Reads an existing table.
Created a single program with the following:
Report form dirdeps3 Preview Noconsole Environment
Compiled into an .exe.

Running the Exe from a DOS prompt on my XP machine it works correctly - 2 columns.

Doing the same on a Windows2000 PC it only displays one column. Deleted the foxuser.dbf and reran - same issue only one column.

So it appears it is being controlled by the PC - what would make this occur??

Did you set it up to first fill the left column then the right, or to alternate?
If former, then does your table (from where you run the report) have enough data to fill both columns?

Are you building the report into the EXE for the existing application? If so, make sure you build a new EXE with the new report.

Using the default of first left column then the right.

Current table goes to multiple pages so there is more than enough data. Plus, it fills 2 when ran from the command window and when running the EXE on my XP machine but doesn't when ran on a MS 2000 pc. I am creating a new directory on both PC's for testing, only contains the exe, the esl and dbf files.

To test I created a new report and a new program with the single line of:
"Report form dirdeps3 Preview Noconsole Environment"
then compiled that into an exe.

This is producing the same issue as the full program but I wanted to test in as simple environment as possible.

This has happened to me before - I believe it was down to the printer and margin setups. I have a PDF creator as a print driver (CutePDF) which, when I use that, creates 2 columns (when you view it in Adobe Acrobat viewer). When printing to the 'real' printer, only one column appears (though it is fine on other printers).
