I have Crystal Reports 8.0, and would like a simple report viewer. It should just allow to view my RPT reports, and print them. The user should not have to have CR installed. If you know of anything. I am desperate!!!!!!!!!!

Malk,
I use Adobe Acrobat 4.0. You'll need the scr8-pdfexportdriver.zip. Go to and search for 'SCR8-PDFExportDriver.zip' After that is installed you'll notice Acrobat Format (PDF) has been added to the list when you export.
Acrobat keeps the format and the users here can open it, view it and print it.
Hope that helps,
MJT1

If you are looking for compiled reports with version 8, see the FAQ Malcolm

November is "be kind to dogs and programmers" month. Or is that "dogs or programmers"?

Both of the answers above are correct, but allow me to explain the difference.

You would use the PDF option if you want them to only view the output of a report that you ran for them. In other words the report is static.

If you want them to RUN and view the report in real time, then you probably want compiled reports, which is a fairly simple free viewer. See the FAQ on how to activate compiled reportts in V8. Ken Hamady
