Report size viewing problem

I have designed my first report. when I run it, it only opens up about a 1/3 of the screen and I have to drag a corner to size it. Is there any way to have it come up like a standarm form? Can I dump the record counter on the bottom?? I would also like to include controls to move to the next page of the report whenver I press a button on the report form...

if you place this in the on open event
in the report in design mode this will
give you max view
