Report printing help

I have searched these forums and cannot find how to remove blanks when printing a report.
This is for a standart name and address on a report for 2 recipients ie.

Mr J Smith and Miss B Jones
1st address line
2nd address line
3rd address line
postcode

1. How do I remove the extra spaces from the surname so there is not a huge gap between?
2. How do alter the forename field to show just the initial and not the whole forename?
3. If address line 3 is empty how do I move the postcode underneath address line 2?

Your help is much appreciated.

1. Set your name field = Trim(LastNamefield) instead of just LastNamefield.

2. Set the field = Left(Forenamefield,1)

3. Set the "can shrink" property of the field to yes for any fields that may be empty. If everything on the line is empty then it won't display on your report. Maq
