Hello.

We moved some reports deployed on the intranet to another server and now have two problems :

1. Some of the reports are displaying the server name as the database when prompted for the userid and password, e.g. database name : database_1, server name : database_1. The reports still work but it's slightly confusing.

2. Some of the reports still point to the old server despite repreated attempts to change them. This seems to mainly apply to subreports. Do they have to be re-written or is there an easy way to change the main report and all subreports?

Thanks in advance.

Ella

Hello.

I've found the solution to part 1. I was using the ODBC connection instead of the SQL Server data source.

Thanks,

Ella.

Hi,
For part 2:
Use the 'Set Location' option of the database menu and point the tables to their new server..when prompted, be sure to say yes to the 'propagate changes to all sub-reports' question.
