Report not sorted

I'm using Access 2000. I have a query that is the data source for a report that is sorted but when I preview the report, it is not sorted as defined in the query. Any ideas why this happens?

You need to define the sort order in the report to get the report to sort the records the way you want.. In design view, click on the Sorting and Grouping button in teh tool bar to bringup the Sorting and Grouping dialog box. Select the Field you want to sort on and the order (acending or decending) Your report will then be sorted on that field.
