Report Net

Hi

We are currently using Cognos 7.1. I like to know little more about the Report.Net like how it fits with the existing tools and is it replacement for something or where it fits and hot it fits. wht are the advantages going for it like that.

any reference to the cognos documentation will also be great.

from the demo on the website, i noticed that its online reporting and very much user friendly.

Actually you can build numerous kind of reports but maintenance and correction of reports is very hard.

You do not have a easy way to see the structure of a report, a synthesized view of sorting, grouping...

Reportnet is the next generation repoting tool which I see replacing Impromptu in the immediate future and PowerPlay in the long term future.

The difference to Impromptu is the increased range of reporting and report types as well as administration over the web. Having used Impromptu for a while admitedly it takes some getting used to but maintenance and correction gets easier as you become more familiar with the product.
