I know there must be a simple answer to this but for the life of me I can't figure out where\how to change the report layout style of an existing report. When you use the report wizard and choose to group by you can select different layout options (Stepped, Block, Outline1 etc). How do you change that layout style on an existing report? I don't see it in the properties list.

you can't...
when the wizzard creates a report, it generates a completely new report from a template, once it's generated, none of the template information is stored...
if you want to change the design of the report, why not just goto design view, and make it look like how you want it to look...
p.s. this should go into the access reports forum
