Report Layout change when i add parameter at run time

Hi,

I created 1 report in Report Builder and i changed color of fonts..its run perfectly but when i added parameter its looks differently at run time..colored fonts was displayed as normal fonts colour and layaout was also changed..I think oracle reports is less powerful than other reporting tools (crystal) and changing layout and add new field in report is also headache in oracle reports..

I explained my question earlier..

I just created simple report and changed something in report like font color,size etc..i saved it and run it..it was running normally..but after that i added one parameter in report and i ran it but it was run with diffrent format and fonts color was removed..after that i removed that parameter from report and it is running normally..

so whats wrong with parameter or i forget something to change in report..

This is really strange situation, unless you somehow use the parameter to control the color and fonts. Please tell more about how you use the parameter, and we'll see what can be done to catch the problem.

I have only two fields in my reports. One is Name and other is ID..I was created parameter on ID..that's it.. there was no relation between color and parameter..same thing was happend with my friend..It was happend in Oracle 6i Reports..

I created same thing in Oracle 10g and i didnt get any problem..format was also displayed same as i created after added parameter..

so, i cannt say that i fixed it but now i'm prefer to work with Oracle 10g..
