Report going to the wrong printer

I have an application with a single report. Whenever the user is ready to print the report, she selects the only printer on her list (a black ink-only laser printer), however the report ends up coming out at a printer (a color LED printer) on the other side of the building which is not on her list.

I used the color LED printer for testing out the report before re-compiling the application and sending it to the users.

Could it be that the printer selection that I used on my printer has been compiled into the application and is causes the report to print out on the "wrong" printer for the end-user, or could it be that the printer might need to be re-established on the user's machine?

Please advise.

Thanks.

NOTE: If this sounds like a hardware issue and should not be in this particular forum, please let me know that also and I will move it to the appropriate location. Thanks.

this happens to me also. How I fix it is doing a print preview on the report. Then right click on the report and then click print. This will bring up the pring menu that will let you choose a printer. Choose your default printer. This usually fixes this for me. I'm sure the users will let you know if it doesn't/

Here's an update on this problem:

I went back to the machine in quesion and tried re-running the report.

It shows only one printer in the print dialog box that can be selected, an IBM laser printer. However, after the IBM printer is selected and the print job is started, there is another window that pops up that contains something in the line of "now printing page 1, 2, " and so on, and in that window, it shows a designation for another printer, an OKI color LED printer.

I have been advised by my people that this "re-routing" is being caused by my coding, but there is only about 5 or 6 lines of code in the application, and all that does is open forms, the report, and closes the application.

I am now at a loss. Is there anybody out there that might be able to come up with something?

Thanks.

while report is in design mode, choose FILE + PAGE SETUP. in PAGE tab choose DEFAULT PRINTER.
