I have created a report using the wizard. The problem is that I am unable to change the report page width size (currently set to 30cm width). This is greater than the report page default size, so it always generates a blank page for every report page (i think the "blankness" of the the excessive report width carries over onto a new page).

I have tried manually reducing the width size by clicking on the right hand side of the report page in design and dragging to reduce. This does not work as it automatically returns back to normal size. I have gone into report properties and tried changing size there, and again it returned back to normal width size.

Can anyone suggest something that may work?

Thanks.

When you use the Wizard you usually get a line (e.g., under the report header or above the page number/date). Sometimes it's hard to see in design view because it's so close to the section bar. Try moving your detail section bar down and see if there's a line above it that extends beyond the desired width of the page. You can resize the lines then resize the width of your report. Ann

Thanks for the advice. I went "extreme" on the report, and deleted the lines you spoke of. It still did not make a difference; The report still generated a page of data and a blank page in alternating sequence.

I am sure it has got something to do with the default page size and the 30cm page size the the wizard created my report in.

Thanks!

Can you email a new database to me with just your report in it? ann@bionetics.com
I'll take a look and get right back to you. Sometimes two sets of eyes are better than one. Ann

I think the line you missed is the one just above the page number control. It's kinda hard to see because it fits snugly just underneath the Page Footer section control. Put your cursor just under the Page Footer and click to select and move the line. You may have to try a few times before you actually grab the line. As I said, it's hard to see but it's there. I was able to resize your page width. Ann
