Using WebI, i created a report in Business Object, added a macro to it and then publish it but when i go to corporate document and pull this reprot, the macro does not run.
Is it because I am running Web Server and WebI on Unix machine and it does not support VB Script (i thought, macro would run on client machine which is Win2000), Does it mean we cannot run any BO report through Webi if it contains any macro (written in VBScript) ??????

Dear Friend,

Can you explain how you added a macro to a report with an example?

Advance thanks

Hi BOUser,

of course you cannot run a VB script on a Unix server, only a Windows NT/2000 will do it.

WebI is a web server, they is no way a Webserver can run a VB on the client side as the client can be a Mac, Windows with Netscape or Unix box.
And it's very unsecured to run a script on the client side (virus,..)

Hope it will help
