Hi,

What would make Crystal gpf when you export a report or when you try to browse the higher number page of the report? I am using a file dsn thru a sonic wall VPN. Everything is fine until I try to export or browse the
results. I use the same crystal install to run other reports thru a different VPN and it has worked rather well for the past year with more complex reports, so I don't think that it is crystal itself. could be wrong.

I did delete a boatload of margins from group header 1 hoping that ti will eliminate a giant blank that prints when i run the report. I am getting a blank page on the first page of a group change. don't know why - thought it was the margins. The section is formatted to suppress blanks and there is nothing checked for new page before/after

TIA for the help

I have found, when you get that type of behavior (ie only when exporting or going to higher pages) the problem is almost always related to a specific data row or rows. Is it predictable? ie. when i run the report starting and ending at the same place it always crashes when I get to page x? If so, I would try to narrow it down as far as possible and then examine those rows in a separate tool to try to figure out what is causing the problem. Crashes can be caused by formula failures (I know it shouldn't but it can).

unfortunately no. And this report is a clone from another report that I run thru a different VPN with no problems. I can try to create a new one and see what happens.
