I wonder if you could please help me with somewhat tricky {to me} reports.

The first is a trial balance. We need a trial balance {to submit to govenment authorities} in a specific format

Instead of the normal account, description, debit, credit they want:

account, desc, all debits in account upto the period of report, all credits in account upto the period of report, all debits in account for the preiod of report, all credits in account for the period of report, all debits, all credits, nett if debit, nett if credit.

I was thinking the following:
If I ask the user to fill period of the report then a sum of transamt.gljed will give me all 1)debits in the account for previous period and current period 2)credits in the account
I will also need the opening balance for the fiscal year. Any idea which table I take this from?

Thanks in advance for the help. I have to make around 10 such reports and this seemed the easiest so picked this first.
 
It sounds like someone in that government has lost their mind, what could possibly want a report like that for?
I'm not sure if FR will cut it, since FR gives net movement only - not transaction detail in a report, transaction detail is available in a drill down only.
I would use GLPOST for the reports, maybe modify the GL transaction listing report in some way.

You only need to see the other 9 reports...absolutely non sense !
This is a requirement for our Romanian business.
 
Perhaps XLBuddy might be able to assist. It allows you to create a template in Excel that can adjust itself based on data that the report finds. It is very flexible.

It can generate both values like FR (net changes, etc.) and generate detailed transaction listings in the same report.
