Were replacing our 19 lines with a T1/PRI trunks, I hope I can re-use the same trunk numbers (8101-8119), so I don't have to re-program my 3 attendants consoles. Can pri trunks use the same trunk numbering?

thanks

Yes, but you will have to do some card arranging to accomplish it.

Thanks for the prompt response. I might get lucky here. I used to have T1 tie lines on the system, the card was never removed from it's slot. This is my current slot config.

Carrier1
CPU, 800GSL, 408GSL, 408GSL, 408GSL, 408GSL

Carrier 2
100D, 016 R/G, 408GSL, 408GSL, 408GSL, blank

will I still need to re-arrange cards?

The lines on the soon-to-be unused CO trunk ports will retain their ID's. Their positions are the ones currently used on the operator's phone. I assume that the CO trunks are all showing up on the Op phones now, but you will probably want to remove them in the future. Your calls will come in different on a PRI than on CO trunks, and you have many things to consider.
How your call flow is set up determines how you will configure the Op phones.

Thats right! all CO lines appear on the Op consoles right now. I'm asking them why is so important to see every line, I'm hoping I can just give them pool buttons with the T1. If thats the case can the T1 card stay where it is?

T-1 card stays where it is. Calls will come in on System Access keys. You'll need to think through how you want the calls handled.

Pepperz@charter.net

I'm sure they will want to keep call handling the same. The main operator + 2 cover operators handle all incoming calls, there are no plans for DID or even backdoor VM.

Will the Main number be ported to the PRI?

Pepperz@charter.net

I plan to have the main number remain as an analog line, and have the telco point it to the T1 term group. In the event of T1 failure we don't loose everything and offer more options with forwarding and re-routing.

That's not what you really want - (I think).
Have the Main number ported to the PRI. Renumber the Main Operaotr phone to capture those digits from the PRI, and have 4 or 5 SA keys on the operator phone for the calls. Have the Telco set up a failure route to a CO hunt-group.

Pepperz@charter.net

That seems like the right plan.

thanks again.

The PRI circuit is up and working and calls are ringing into my 4 SA buttons on the main console (100). I have setup the other two consoles (101,138) identically, but incoming calls won't ring there. The main incoming number ports to the T1. is this a DID or ARS issue?

thanks

You probably won't need the line appearances on the consoles, as you have probably already figured out.

As much as I hate them, sometimes you may need QCC's in this type of envoirnment, depending on how your calls are handled.

Thanks for the reply, this actually is the same question I have listed as a new thread named (Adding Pool S/A Buttons to DLC with PRI) so you can reply under that one if you wish. I have never setup QCC, but the way they use their system is, ALL calls come into 2 DLC consoles then either transferred to ext or direct vm. a third dlc acts as cover. The way they do it now is with 19 line appearence buttons.

thanks again
