Hello Everyone,

Please I want your help.

I manage a Nortel Option 11c mini, but, recently the issues are becoming too many. Now I cannot even logon to the Call Server. So I am now looking for a replacement for the units. Please what PBX can I use as a replacement?

This is how my Nortel option 11C mini installation is:
1) One Main/Call Server
2) Two Expansion Cabinets that are connected to the Main/Call Server via Optic fiber cable.

NB - Cable installation telephone sets is for Tip/Ring (two wire)

Kindly recommend the PBX system that replace my failing option 11c mini.

Thank you all

How many extensions do you have?. You might want to consider a completely new system or perhaps migrate to the newer Avaya replacement or go to E-Metro tel Ucx that converts Nortel digital phones to IP onto their equipment.

Personally, your best option is to go to SIP trunking and IP phones. It's all down to costs.

As stated, it would really depend on how many phones you currently have on your system. There are a ton of systems out there, but the sizing is the most important part.

Thank you Guys for your responses.

There are about 150 extensions (digital & Analogue) combination in my current setup.

It will be difficult to do IP phone system because of the nature of the existing cabling structure. Running Ethernet cable may not be eazy at some of the buildings.

Please, what is the name of the Avaya Replacement and how can I get it?

Thank you all again.

You should be able to find a CS1000 on the used market very reasonable. They are a dime a dozen

As a matter of interest, what type of SSC card have you got?. The Option 11C mini systems had (I think) a 48 port DLC card for slot 4 that were also configured for 5 and 6.

The original CPU cards were often replaced with SSC ones. Can you post us a photo please?.
