Hello all,
I have a strange case... We have a test cabinet (IPO500v2 R9.0) at our office which was given to us by an Avaya CAM a while back. We stole a Combo Card ATMv2 from this cabinet for our main office system (R11.1), and now we need a R9.0 cabinet with a Combo Card ATMv2 for some testing.

I have multiple known-good combo cards in stock of unknown current firmware versions, and none of them work in this cabinet. The other cards still function (Dig Sta 8 w/pri, analog 2 card, ATM4), but I cannot get a combo card to come up. Every card we try gives solid lights on 1&9, so they look to be incompatible for some reason.

I have tried defaulting the cabinet, configuring as IP Office Standard Mode, then installing the combo cards, but I get the same behavior. Could these card be a newer firmware, and therefore won't downgrade to run on the 9.0 cabinet? I have never had to do this before, as we always order new cards from the supplier and upgrade systems, not the other way around.

Does anyone have knowledge on this?

I've tried three different Combo Cards (all 700476013), and then one of them I in each of the 4 slots, but still get solid lights on 1&9 regardless.

in that case I can only assume that the cabinet has some problem.

you could also see if the SD card has the bin files for the combo card on it to up or downgrade properly.

I just don't know what the bin file name would be, maybe someone else can chime in for that

Out of curiosity, does anyone know if you can install a combo or other card that came out of a newer revision in an older revision cabinet? Will it downgrade to the current revision assuming the .bin files are present, and the card is compatible with that revision?

Thank you Westi. I guess that's a good thing in this situation, but I'm definitely thoroughly confused now [dazed]
