Hi all,

I install a new IPO release 8.1 and VMPRO. The customer wish to delete the greating message of avaya and replace by a message of the company. By default, there's a avaya message greating and the user add his name if it's the first time.
Is it possible to record a message with a wav file then in VMPRO i add it for each user then no more Avaya Message greating ?

Best regards
Allan

each user can record their own greeting, option 3 when they log into their mailbox.
You can duplicate of course a generic command and copy and rename it to play in each mailbox but that is maybe not what you want.

Yeah that's true that each user could record their own greating. But what the customer wants that the enduser don't need to record their own greating but with the VMPro under the user i could include the file wav replacing the greating of avaya.
"this is the avaya ip office... phone number..." replace by a file wav with the company name then the user could include their own name after this announcement

record it one time, then go to
C:\Program Files (x86)\Avaya\IP Office\Voicemail Pro\VM\Greetings

and you will find it in there with the name_1 (if you recorded it as greeting #1)
you can copy and paste that and rename it to each users name_1

then go to each users account folder and replace the intuity.txt file with the one that the first user has or go into the file and activate the greeting #1 by changing paramaters (copy and replace is faster) and then you should be OK

the intuity.txt has the following info

CAD=N
ABR=N
FIRSTTIME=N
UPGRADED=N
CALLTYPES=104
PREFERREDMEDIUM=0
UPGRADEDFORITZ=Y
SORTORDERN=A
SORTORDERU=A
SORTORDERO=D
SORTORDERS=D
GREETING0=0
GREETING1=32 this tells you that greeting 1 is recorded and active for all calls
GREETING2=0
GREETING3=0
GREETING4=0
GREETING5=8
GREETING6=0
GREETING7=0
GREETING8=0
GREETING9=0
FAX=
LASTDFTGRTG=2
TG=N
ESCALATIONTYPE=S
ENABLED=Y
HUNTGROUP=N
CLEARMAILBOXTIME=0

you can go and do it manually in each of the users Accounts folder but like I said copying and pasting is so much faster, it has no passwords in it and only contains the behavior of the mailbox

And this omits the first access message : FIRSTTIME=N for each new user it is set to Y

ok i understand... so by doing this... i will not have anymore the avaya message greating then but only the wav the i put isn't it?

yes but you should still leave the first time probably because you want users to record their name greeting otherwise they will not be found via dial by name (should you offer this)
