Can anyone please give me a step by step procedure on replacing an RLC that is being use for remote office. I know I can download then upload the configuration to the new card. I haven't done this before, so I would like to get a little light on doing this. What cable I need to access the card? I was reading the NTP but I didn't see any information on replacing it.

i don't have that cable part number but you can disalble the card and replace it, do the up load and your there.. i've only installed one, it's not that hard to play with.. and on an install you can power down for repair issues..

From the serial connector on the board, use a serial rs232 straight cable to your com port 9600 8 N 1
Or, if ip has been set up, use telnet from the Configuration Manager

I know I can download the configuration from the serial port. Not sure about uploading it. I was reading the NTP and it saids I have do it using FTP.

Grab a copy of Pumpkin (free) to do your upload with, presuming you have network access to the card. The Config
Manager is pretty straightforward about copying and saving the file.

RLC use TFTP instead of FTP.
Anyway, TFTP is not needed to retrieve or reinstall the configuration, but only useful for sw upgrade.
Using the config manager, it's retrieving the data at the connection. From menu, choose "Save as" to keep a copy of the config in a txt file. To reinstall it, choose "Open" from the menu, select your previous backup, then from "Upload/Download" menu choose "Send all" then " Save to flash".
Restart the board.
That's it...

I have time on my hands. I only take care of 60 BCM's and 1 Option 11C.
